How to Style a Kimono 3 Ways

The modern kimono or a cover-up is a great piece of clothing. You can style it in many ways and it’s perfect for chilly evenings and cold air-conditioned spaces. It’s normally very lightweight to carry along with you when you want to take it off. It’s also a great piece to cover your shoulders when needed. Only negative side to kimono is that it can make you look bigger as it’s normally just hanging around your body quite shapeless. But you can always add a belt on your waist to give more shape to your figure.

With an additional piece like kimono, you can dress up ordinary jeans and tee. Or you can dress down a dress and heels to make it more casual. It’s a good way to add color as well. While a black cover-up might be tempting, it tends to just drag your figure down, so go for something brighter.

I always thought linen pants are for older lady tourists when they travel to hot climate :D. But then I saw these high-waisted, linen culottes at Muji and they’re amazing! So cool (literally) and trendy and easy. But this look would be great paired with shorts as well.
